Keri Sable
Eighteen months, one contract, and a hundred-odd scenes.
Keri Sable arrived in Los Angeles in the summer of 2004 and left before the end of 2005. In between she became one of the most photographed new faces of the gonzo era, signed with Wicked Pictures, and walked away mid-contract.
The short version
Keri Sable was born on 28 April 1986 in Buffalo, New York, into an Italian-American family. She spent part of her teens in Phoenix and Chicago before settling in San Diego, where she finished high school and worked retail jobs. She has said she was a strong student, and that college did not appeal to her the way a move to Los Angeles did.
She entered adult film in July 2004, a few months after turning eighteen. The first year was almost entirely gonzo: short, scene-driven productions for companies such as Jules Jordan Video, Diabolic and Sin City. She worked at a pace that was unusual even by the standards of the period, and by early 2005 she had appeared in well over a hundred scenes. Directors cast her for the same reasons audiences noticed her: a direct camera presence, an unusually wide smile, and no visible hesitation in hard scenes.

Questions
When did Keri Sable start in adult film?
In July 2004, a few months after her eighteenth birthday. She had moved from San Diego to Los Angeles and was represented by Exotic Star Models.
Why did she sign with Wicked Pictures?
Wicked offered a two-year exclusive contract in April 2005, at a point when she was one of the busiest new performers in gonzo. She said she had grown up watching Wicked films, and wanted to try feature work rather than another year of scene-driven releases.
